A side note from mwa....

I haven't blogged in ages! I feel as though not writing things down makes people miss out on your life. Luckily, I've been keeping a journal and stuff so not all hope is lost for my future posterity!

Lately, I've been thinking about the future: College, finals (a ways away), school, college. I have been curious as to what I should consider majoring in. After debating it back and forth in my mind, I think I've truly decided on a writing career. My fall-back option: English education.

Writing is something that comes very natural to me. I usually write when I am inspired. Inspiration comes in so many forms. It could come through a book, through music, through a simple sound I hear. It comes almost instantly, and then I find myself frantically scribbling notes down in a spiral, or pulling out my phone to leave myself a quick memo to write down later.
Inspiration is sometimes hard to come by. When you are always drowned in the sound of school, and you can't seem to get out of the rut and style of everyday life, you loose that feeling. The feeling that everything is inspiring.

The trees, the grass, the colors on the walls, the sound of chalk on a chalkboard, and footsteps, the sweet scent of lavendar, and the smell of banana bread on a cold winter's day, the cry of a baby, your own shallow breathing, the lead of a pencil, the highlighters in your backpack, the feel of toothpaste on your tounge, the pressure you feel from a retainer on your teeth, even the click of the keys on this keyboard. Inspiration at its finest.

I love to write.
I love to express my thoughts through words.
I love to think of myself as a character in my books.
I love to write.

I think people are too quick to judge sometimes.
I think people think too much, but sometimes not enough.
I think people are always going to be people.

Feelings can be positive, feelings can be negative.
Words can be positive, words can be negative.
Thoughts can be positive, thoughts can be negative.

People will always be the same. Lies.

Love always,
Emily.
